Privacy Policy
How iWishYou collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us.
Last updated: July 2026iWishYou ("we", "us", or "our") helps people create personalised birthday web pages for the ones they love. This policy explains what information we handle when you use our website and services, why we handle it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language so that it is easy to follow.
1. Information we collect
We keep data collection to what we genuinely need to run the service. The information falls into a few groups.
Account information
When you create an account we store your name, your email address, and, if you choose to provide it, your mobile number. We sign you in using a one time code sent to your email, so we do not ask you to remember a password.
Content you create
When you build a wish page you provide details about the person you are celebrating. This can include their name, their email address, the age they are turning, a photo, a written message, and an optional video. You also choose a web address for the page. We store this content so that we can publish the page and, if you ask us to, deliver it at a scheduled time.
Verification codes
We generate short lived one time codes to confirm your email during sign up and sign in. These codes expire quickly and are used only for verification.
Technical information
Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic technical details such as your internet protocol address, browser type, and the pages you request. This helps us keep the service secure and working correctly.
2. How we use your information
- To create, publish, and display the wish pages you make.
- To sign you in securely using email verification codes.
- To deliver a scheduled greeting email to a recipient at the time you choose.
- To respond to the messages you send us through our support page.
- To keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to show you third party advertising.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies. A session cookie keeps you signed in as you move around the dashboard, and a security cookie protects our forms against cross site request forgery. These cookies are essential for the website to function, so they are not used for tracking or advertising. We also load web fonts from a third party font provider so that pages display beautifully.
4. When we share information
We share information only in the limited situations described below.
- Service providers. We use trusted providers to send email on our behalf and to host our infrastructure. They handle data only on our instructions.
- Payment processing. When you pay to create a wish page, the payment is handled by our payment gateway, Cashfree. You enter your card, bank, or UPI details directly with the gateway, not with us. We never see or store your full card number or banking credentials. We keep only a record of the payment itself, such as the amount, the plan, a payment reference, and whether it succeeded.
- Recipients you choose. When you publish or schedule a page, the recipient you name will receive the link and see the content you created for them.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users and our service.
A published wish page lives at a web address that you choose. Anyone who has that link can view the page, so please share it only with the people you intend.
5. How long we keep information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Verification codes are discarded soon after they expire. We may retain limited records for longer where the law requires it.
Wish pages and their media
A wish page may have a set lifetime, depending on the plan it was created on. That lifetime is the number of days after which the page expires. When a wish page expires, or when you delete it yourself, the page along with its link and details stops working, and the photo or video you uploaded for that page is permanently deleted from our storage. In other words, once a wish page is expired or deleted, the media uploaded to us for it is removed and cannot be recovered. If you close your account, the pages you created and their uploaded media are removed in the same way.
6. Your choices and rights
You remain in control of your information. You can:
- View and manage the wish pages you have created from your dashboard.
- Delete any wish page at any time, which also removes its uploaded media.
- Ask us to correct or delete your account information.
- Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
To make any of these requests, please contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request.
7. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Passwords, where used, are stored only in a hashed form and never in plain text. Traffic to our website is served over a secure connection. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Children
Our service is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so that we can remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our service grows or as the law changes. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Please review this policy occasionally so that you stay informed.
10. Contact us
If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, please reach out through our support page. We will be glad to help.
